| Bramhall Stockport | Approx 1 mile from
where we have our wens meeting - Entrance £2.95 The manor of Bramhall was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book. Today the house is a superb example of a 'Cheshire Black and White' timber framed manor house, with origins dating back to Medieval England. The property is lovingly cared for and presents the visitor with a marvellous historic record spanning six centuries. Journeying through the house will give glimpses into the Hall's fascinating plaster ceilings, a wonderful 16th century embroidered table carpet and wall paintings, plus many fine examples of architecture, furniture and paintings from different periods. |
